compressor operation, water irrigation systems and other applications
that require constant oil level monitoring are potential REN customers.

4
5
- Multi-cylinder stationary engines are used in many applications and
markets.
6
- Some of these Markets include:
- Oil and Gas
- Power Generation
- Compressor Operation
- Pump Operation
- Irrigation
7
- In these applications and markets, engines must operate for long
uninterrupted periods of time, without the constant monitoring by
service technicians or maintenance personnel.
8
- During extended operating intervals these engines may consume large
quantities of engine lubricating oil.
9
- Oil consumption is caused by many factors. Oil can seep past seals and
gaskets and be burned during the combustion process, or…
10
- …simply leak from the engine. In either case, the lubricating oil level
can drop to a harmful, if not dangerous level.
11
- Many engines that operate in these conditions are protected by low-oil
level shutdown switches. These switches are designed to sense oil levels
that are not adequate to provide the necessary lubrication, and will
shutdown the engine.
12
- While this “shutdown” condition protects the engine from damage, it
interrupts the necessary operation and production of the system.
13
- Costly downtime is the result, and operators and companies of engines in
these applications welcome an alternative.
14
- Another factor for engines that run constantly for long periods of time
is costly shutdowns for normal servicing requirements.
15
- While the engines may not leak or consume oil, they do need to be
serviced. Extended Service Intervals are considered to minimize
downtime, but engine shutdown for servicing is inevitable.
16
- An alternative to engine shutdown for servicing is to use a “Continuous
Oil Change” process. This can be accomplished with specialized products
designed for this purpose, and are growing in demand.
17
- Using superior Fleetguard Extended Service Filtration products also have
a significant role in these applications.
18
19
- Fleetguard is now introducing its REN line of Fluid Level Sensors,
Controls and Reservoirs that are designed for multi-cylinder stationary
engines.

continuous oil changing that operators require.
20
- Fleetguard’s REN products have a long history of service and support in
many markets.
- REN products are a proven technology and have provided superior
performance, reliability and long life for many years.
21
