Fleetguard Releases Sea Pro® Marine Fuel Filtration System with Patented Seeing is Believing® Technology

22 SEP 05 -- Fleetguard Inc., the global filtration, exhaust, coolant and chemical specialist for diesel and gas powered equipment, has introduced a new fuel filtration system for the marine diesel engine market called Sea Pro FH234 Series.

Sea Pro is UL approved, meets ABYC requirements, is U.S. Coast Guard compliant and is pending with Lloyd's Register, Det Norske Veritas, SOLAS, and ABS. Sea Pro 6 is available in single, dual, duplex, triple and triplex units for spin-on applications. Sea Pro 7 is available in these same configurations with the added features of the clear "Seeing Is Believing" cover and the EleMax™ cartridge element technology.

"This revolutionary system brings time-tested technology to the Marine market. It is the best performing, easiest to maintain and the most versatile fuel/water separator on the market today. It features a clear cover that acts like a sight glass into the fuel system, which is why we call it Seeing is Believing technology," said John Clevenger, General Manager of Strategic Alliances for Fleetguard. "Sea Pro's EleMax filter cartridge technology extends fuel filter life by up to three times more than standard spin-on fuel filters and allows users to see when NOT to change the filter. Its design reduces operating costs, decreases service time, increases service intervals and uses common fuel filters across many applications and equipment, which reduces inventory and avoids maintenance complexity and hassles. Seeing really is believing!"

Sea Pro contains Fleetguard's multi-layered, proprietary StrataPore™ media that enables it to maintain its fuel/water separation efficiency over time with zero compromise to capacity or filter life. The Sea Pro 6 and Sea Pro 7 filter systems have optional Water-in-Fuel (WIF) sensors to provide an electronic signal indicating the need to drain water from the bowl. In addition, the clear bottom bowl features a window to let you know when to drain the water. As a backup provision, the Sea Pro 7 cartridge system is designed so that it can accept standard spin-on filters in emergency situations. Further, the duplex and triplex systems feature a 4-way valve that allows you to change one filter while the engine is still running, for the ultimate in service flexibility.

"Sea Pro eclipses all other systems as the most efficient and versatile marine fuel filtration system on the market," Clevenger explained. "It can be applied across multiple engine applications with configurations for flow rates up to 600 gph or 2,272 lph. Sea Pro is a reliable and exceptional 'workhorse' for both commercial and recreational marine diesel engines from 6 Liters to 78 Liters in displacement. It is more than up to the task."
