	Fleetguard Test Laboratory receives ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from NABL
	26 APR 05 -- Becomes the first engine filter company in India to receive this prestigious recognition Fleetguard Test Laboratory, the filter performance testing lab of Fleetguard Filters Pvt. Ltd., India's leading manufacturer of heavy duty air, fuel, lube and hydraulic filters for on- and off- highway applications, received the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), New Delhi. Fleetguard Test Laboratory is one of the first engine filter testing facility to receive ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation in India. NABL, an agency under the Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, is the only body in India authorized to grant ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. It is affiliated to the International Laboratory Accreditation Council (ILAC) through the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Council (APLAC). ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation is the most widely sought endorsement of the competence and reliability of a test laboratory in the world. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Niranjan Kirloskar, Managing Director, Fleetguard Filters Pvt Ltd said," We built this facility to enable us to provide the industry with superior quality filters. Also, this facility serves as a hotbed for advanced research in filtration technology". The NABL accreditation is a shot in the arm for our efforts, which have been underway for over 15 years now. It will enable us to deliver top line products for the filter market. The accreditation also authorizes us to certify filters other than ours for their performance and suitability." Mr. S.S. Ltd., "Over the last few years, Fleetguard invested millions of rupees in sophisticated product testing facilities in order to fulfill our customer's need for products with reliably demonstrated performance. However, we realized that sophisticated test equipment alone cannot guarantee reliability of test results. A comprehensive system to address equipment capability, methods' validity, personnel competence, documentation, etc. is essential. We developed such a system as per ISO/IEC 17025 standard, and the NABL accreditation to Fleetguard Test Laboratory endorses it.
